At Anheuser-Busch, everyday is a recycling day, and the company’s employees are helping to lead the way. In 2009, the company’s 12 U.S. breweries recycled 99.4 percent of the solid waste generated in the brewing and packaging of their beers. Recycled Materials include beechwood chips, aluminum, glass, brewers’ grain, scrap metal, cardboard and many other items.

When it comes to recycling in our breweries, it really starts with the efforts of our employees. The ideas and suggestions they generate have helped us reduce, reuse and recycle nearly all of the materials generated in our production processes. We hope Americans across the country will join us in our passion for recycling. Recycling in our breweries is just one aspect of our overall environmental initiatives that are designed to help us meet our goal of being the best beer company in a better world.
